I was looking back at the blogs from the pandemic time period and decided to repost them :). My daffodils are in full bloom and the tulips are peeking through the ground in defiance of the Coronavirus crisis unfolding all around us.
Spring is Coming
Even in this unprecedented time with the Coronavirus pandemic, spring is showing in little clumps of color, in the daffodils and little crocus peeking through the ground. Every day I try to take a short walk around my yard and down the street, keeping my social distance, and I find nature and the signs of spring hopeful. It always helps to find one thing of beauty each day. The Daffodils and pansies painting is for sale and can be found on the flowers page.
Our duck pair has come back and they are again sitting in the backyard, making it their own and the robins are splashing in the bird bath. I have also started my spring garden of lettuce, spinach and radishes. Gardening in the yard is a great activity to get out of the house while social distancing. It is a stress reliever.
COMMISSIONED ART
I have also been working on a new commissioned pet portrait, which I gave to a charity event, GiGi’s Playhouse. It was won by a couple who have Riggs, an adorable Westie. The painting is still in process, but should be finished very soon. For more information on my commissioned work, see my Commissions Page.
