Embracing Cozy Moments: A Journey Through “Promise Kept”

Embracing Cozy Moments with Promises Kept, a cozy chair, blanket and cup of cocoa.

The Comfort of a Cozy Nook

Imagine curling up in a cozy nook, wrapped in a warm blanket, with a steaming cup of your favorite drink by your side. This scene captures the essence of embracing cozy moments, inviting you to take a moment for yourself. The vibrant colors of the blanket, with its rich reds, greens, and yellows, create a warm embrace that beckons you to settle in and lose yourself in a good book.

A Gateway to Stories

The artwork featured here, titled Promise Kept, is more than just a book. It’s a gateway to stories that resonate with our hearts. It reminds us of the joy of reading, the adventures waiting within the pages, and the connections we forge through shared tales. Whether it’s a heartwarming story about our furry friends or a journey through the imagination, each page turned is a promise kept to ourselves—to take a break, to indulge, and to dream.

Finding Inspiration in Simple Moments

As an artist, I find inspiration in these simple yet profound moments. The way a cozy corner can transform a space into a sanctuary speaks volumes about the power of decor and personal touches. For me, embracing cozy moments involves creating an environment that nurtures our passions and allows us to unwind. The soft textures of the blankets and the inviting warmth of the colors create a perfect backdrop for those quiet moments of reflection and joy.

Creativity as a Pathway to Healing

In my new book, Imagine That: A Survivor’s Guide to a Joyful Life, I delve deeper into the themes of creativity and imagination as pathways to healing. This teaching memoir, rooted in the ideologies of Positive Psychology, offers readers a roadmap to a more meaningful and joyful life. By embracing creativity, gratitude, laughter, meditation, nature, and mindfulness, we can cultivate well-being and a deep sense of purpose. One of the key aspects discussed is how creative activities can positively impact our lives, reminding us that the act of creating can be a powerful tool for healing and joy.

The Little Details Matter

Let’s not forget the little details that make these moments special. The mug, adorned with a cheerful snowman, adds a touch of whimsy and warmth, reminding us that even in the simplest of settings, joy can be found. It’s these small elements that elevate our everyday experiences, turning them into cherished memories. Embracing cozy moments means appreciating these details.

Savoring the Cozy Moments

So, grab your favorite blanket. Pour yourself a cup of something warm, and dive into a story that speaks to you. Let the world outside fade away as you embrace the comfort of your own little haven. After all, life is too short not to savor these cozy moments! And remember, every time you open a book, you’re not just reading—you’re embarking on a journey that enriches your soul and nurtures your creativity.

About The Author

Dr. Susie

I reside in Northeast Ohio after traveling from coast to coast and living in both rural and metropolitan areas from Los Angeles to New York and of course the Midwest. I am an author and third generation artist and have been painting since the early 1960s. I have always cared deeply about animals, both domestic and wild, and the preservation of endangered species, has always been a concern as well. Most recently, I was involved in animal rescue work, finding homes for over 11,000 dogs and cats over the previous 12 years. It's only natural then, that I am drawn to animals and nature for my art subjects. I have also explored the metaphysical including creative imagination, Reiki, crystal healing, tai chi, feng shui and yoga and feel they add depth to my art as well. By creating an emotional connection for the viewer I hope my artwork will create concern and compassion for our natural world and its wild inhabitants, and help stimulate conservation efforts. My love of historic buildings and their conservation led me to doing the house portraits and my architectural works
